INFUSION PUMP SYSTEM
A European company that creates medical and pharmaceutical devices needed an infusion pump system tested. The type 3 medical device delivers fluids into a patient’s body in a controlled manner in large or small amounts, and may be used to deliver nutrients or medications. The product was currently selling successfully in Europe, but needed unit testing for FDA approval. Thousands of lines of code were tested line by line while test cases and content for test documentation were created. PSI created multiple projects for testing groups of modules that required testing of all conditions and functions within the targeted code base. Dead code was found, test reports were created, and the infusion pump was able to successfully get FDA approval.
