SUMMARY

PSI is seeking motivated, bright undergraduates to join the organization as Software Engineering Interns. Interns are trained and tested and once they are able to show they’re preparedness, they work on real (non-critical) projects under the direct supervision of senior software engineers. Interns also work on internal products and projects for the company. The experience they gain is varied and highly dependent on the skills and responsibility they exhibit. This position is challenging and rewarding, and for the right person can lead to a full time opportunity upon graduation.

Responsibilities and Duties

All interns must study and be tested on PSI’s standard operating procedures for software engineering, verification, change control, and configuration management. In addition, all interns must complete two practical projects that are reviewed and critiqued by other software engineers. Only after they have completed these will they be given project work. Project work varies, but it can be documentation generation, unit test creation, programming, test execution, or other project organizational tasks. The exact activities will change from week to week but the nature of the work will always be meaningful.
