CEREBROSPINAL FLUID SHUNT DIAGNOSTIC
Using a system based on transcutaneous thermal convection technology, the system can be used to painlessly evaluate the function of a shunt quickly and accurately. The software manages patient data and medical data derived from tests that capture temperature sensor data. The development of this Class II medical device conformed to FDA standards. Development included design and implementation of a dynamic system allowing for future additions, improvement of algorithms used, and an entirely new interface built, allowing for use on both PCs and tablets.
- Product developed from the ground up
- Created design documentation and test plans for product
- Developed serial interface to read temperatures from a group of thermistors
- Created multi-threaded hybrid C# / HTML interface for user interactions
- Integrated 3rd party components for graphing the results in real time
